THRIVE: Psalm 52:8 (NLT) 8 But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. Ephesians 4:14-16 (NLT) 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. It is God’s will that every believer lead a vibrant and thriving Christian life. Thrive is multifaceted in the sense that many outlets are provided for you to grow in your faith through worship, conferences, prayer meetings, Bible studies, thrive classes, pastors’ roundtable and weekly services for youth, children and adults. SERVE: Matthew 20:25-28 (NKJV) 25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave-- 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many." It is our desire to transition “thriving believers” into “serving believers.” Every born again believer is called to serve Christ, His church, our community and His cause. At Faith Outreach Church everyone is encouraged to participate in serving and becoming a vital part of what God is doing by using their unique talents and gifts God has given them. You are valuable and you are needed to help us reach our world together! We believe leaders are servants and servants are leaders. S.A.L.T. Classes (Servants Authentically Leading Together) are periodic leadership classes that equip the believer to serve effectively and productively. On going training is provided throughout the year.
